Quality of Service
Before using the Service:
- We will arrange to meet you together with your family and friends should you so wish. We will provide you with a booklet which contains information about the service and will help you decide on using the service. The meeting will take place within one week of your referral to us.
- At this first meeting we will discuss your care needs as assessed in your care plan and we will invite you to ask any questions about the service.
If, once you have all the relevant information, you decide you want to use the Service then we will Involve you in developing a written agreement which will contain the terms and conditions for using the service and contain arrangements for changing or ending the agreement.
Using the Service:
- We will respect your social, religious and cultural beliefs.
- We will respect your right to privacy and will keep all information about you securely
- We will not divulge any information about you to any third party without your express permission unless any specific legal provision applies or it was detrimental to your own health and safety.
- We will assist you to live safely in your property and in harmony with your neighbours.
- We will help you to make choices about your lifestyle and we will not interfere in any way with your choices unless any specific legal provision applies.
- You will be fully involved in all decisions that are made about your service and any changes to your care plan.
- We will assist you to live as independently as possible.
- You have the right to feel safe whilst using the service, knowing that our staff are qualified to deliver your care.
- You will not suffer any form of abuse from our staff.
- You will be encouraged to express your views and be fully informed on how to complain about any aspect of the Service.
Ending the Service
Choosing to end the Service:
- You may choose to end the Service at any time.
- Should you intimate that you wish to leave the service then we will fully support you in your decision and will assist you in finding another provider should you so wish.
- We will, with your permission pass your records to the new provider, or where there is no new provider, we will retain your records for a period of three years.
